The School of Education and English is now seeking exceptional scholars to join us as Assistant Professor in Applied Linguistics in the School of Education and English.

About the School

This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Education and English at UNNC where schools in UK and Malaysia are brought together, providing the opportunities, the expertise and the skills for our academics to work together on programmes and projects involving Applied Linguistics, International Higher Education, Translation and Interpreting, Cognitive Neuroscience, Literature and Drama, and many other fields. The School of Education and English provides various opportunities for research activities, which is further enhanced by the state-or-art laboratories and academics who are highly influential in their respective fields. About You

We seek to appoint you if you are experienced, self-driven, creative and results oriented, with good record of internationally recognized research publications.

The purpose of this role will be to lead and deliver individual and collaborative research and teaching in the area of Applied Linguistics and ELT, and make a contribution to the direction of research programmes in the School of Education and English.

The role will be responsible for generating new intellectual understanding/knowledge through the application of knowledge and for developing ideas for application of research and teaching outcomes.

The post holder will develop new concepts and ideas and will be expected, where appropriate, to develop and win support for innovative research and/or teaching development proposals and funding bids.

The post holder will make a significant contribution to their academic unit via leadership and/or administrative management and/or co-ordination of specific initiatives.
